Nov 08, 2006· The Micro mill goes down in size from the mini mill. Rather than go micro I would go Sherline or Taig mills. I also have the Sherline and althoughit is a very fine mill for small stuff I find I use my mini mill more. Even with the plastic gears it takes better cuts and can handle larger projets. Still the mini mill is not a Bridgport. Bill

That being said, if you are just going to futts around and make a pin or or something simple then the Taig is far superior to the Sherline.
